Daniel Alexander Rodriguez

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

May 4, 1997 - February 22, 2026

Daniel Rodriguez passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, February 22nd at the age of 28 years. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sophia; parents, Catherine Alvarado and Ramon Rodriguez; brothers, Christian and Joseph; and all of the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. 

Daniel was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where he graduated from Independence High School. He was a proud member of the wrestling team, and went on to fight professionally at Jackson Wink in New Mexico. He returned to Charlotte where he spent time with his wife and family before his untimely passing. 

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 7th at Independence Park. Memorial donations in Daniel’s name may be made to Save a Gato (FV8H+JC2, San Juan, 00901, Puerto Rico). 

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Novant Main Hospital for their care and compassion.
